Oh How Right You Are
Oh how right you are
I've memory enough
Of this sudden ending
When always was our happiness
Without the keeping of
So much stuff of yours
Ah the bitter defense
That makes sad sense
For yes my sudden ending
When happiness was
That what we had
But I've tarried long enough
I'll go me now
And let you do whatever
So where exactly
Are you going to
And does this mean
You will quit your job
When you were in line
For a promotion soon
Yes it does
I need do that
For when I might return
I cannot say
And yes you are right
To shake your head at me
For this quitting I must do
Of that good job
As it was indeed
The best I had
Well at least it isn't just me
That you are forsaking
Though cold will be comfort
When memories of better days
Flood my heart and mind
Forsaking isn't the word
That I would use
But sense it makes
From where you stand
So I simply take it
And leave you with
A sorry that this is how
It ended for us
And with that he left
His words were done
And as he said
He had tarried long enough
And had to go him forth
Upon his elsewhere path
Charles Petrie
And the solid storytelling continues!
Right?
Though, who am I writing for when ain't no one following me as yet.
Sigh.
Nevertheless, I continue writing this cool poetry story.
