Paikin's Song

But Who Does Wrong

But who does wrong
Like the wrong we did
Now but now
When so the many
Like us and more
Have been sent
To places like this

What if he was
Not a doer wrong like us
But merely bad
Or worse than that
A spy to see
Just how we've been
Since oh so long
We've been here

You think this poor dead
Was a spy
What kind of madness
So makes you say that

I'm not mad
And woul but think
You'd never say
Such a thing to me

Well never I thought
That I'd need to say
Such a thing to you
But clearly yes
I need to say this now

Charles Petrie
